Pet Of The Week
Blue
Aren't I handsome??
Age:
 est. 4-5 yrs

This is Blue! Isn't he handsome? Blue is a sweet boy, a little shy at first. Blue would make someone a wonderful companion. He is very loyal to his care takers. Blue would prefer to be your one and only. He gets along well with most larger dogs, but tends to think smaller animals, (like little fluffy dogs or cats) are to play with.

Blue is a young adult, already trained. So if you would like a doggie companion, but don't want to go through all the pottie training, and obedience classes. Blue would be the boy for you.

We believe Blue is mixed with collie. We are unsure of what else may be in his mix.

If you are interested in Blue, come meet him at the rescue! He will be waiting!

SPECIAL THANKS!!

The Snyder Foundation for Animals, Inc.

Awards Grant for Spay/Neuter

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to The Snyder Foundation for Animals, Inc. for the most generous $10,000.00 grant the Foundation awarded to our Spay/Neuter Program.  The funding is to be used to sterilize rescued Maryland cats.

This grant will enable us to increase the number of cats we are able to sterilize through our Spay/Neuter Program and help us target a larger number of cats living in feral cat colonies. Since feral cats are the most prolific breeders of any population of cats, each one sterilized has the potential to save the most lives and prevent the most suffering.

We are extremely grateful for The Snyder Foundation for Animals, Inc.’s support of this year’s project and for the continued support the Foundation has so generously shown to our shelter over the years.

Thank you to Patton Vet Clinic

Thank you to the Patton Veterinary clinic for inviting us to attend the Red Lion Days with them.  It was a beautiful and successful day!!

Resident Sponsor of the Week

Twitchy is a special boy. A kind and caring person found Twitchy on the side of a road. At first she did not think he was alive. When she pulled over and saw he was she took him into her home and cared for him until she could bring him to AR inc the following morning. Twitchy was having seizures when he came into AR inc. It took quiet a while to get them under control. When he first arrived and many weeks after, we would find him lying near a door with his nose to the bottom as if he was waiting for his human to come for him. That never happened! No one showed up for him! He is adjusting now to his new surroundings and home. If you can not adopt Twitchy and take him into your home. But, would like to help him, we would like to suggest you sponsor him as a foster parent. He would appreciate anything you could do, and so would the care takers at AR inc.
